Hurricane Volunteer Fire Department — standing guard over Pontotoc and the surrounding community, one call at a time.
The Hurricane Volunteer Fire Department has been a cornerstone of public safety in Pontotoc, Mississippi, for generations. We are not a paid department — we are your neighbors, your friends, and your fellow community members who choose to stand ready when the call comes.
From structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical emergencies and natural disasters, our team responds to whatever our community faces. We train continuously, maintain our equipment with care, and show up — every time, every shift.
Our volunteers are trained and equipped to handle the full range of emergency services our community needs.
